Early Years

Last month our early Years Leads from all of our schools in our Trust came together for a day of learning at the CST Early Years Conference in Birmingham.

The big takeaways:

• New strategies to turn early years handwriting practice to create confident writers 
• Incredibly interesting presentation on the challenges of the modern enviroment and screen media and it's impact on cognitive load from foundation stage 
• Hearing from Susie Owen (Department of Education) on the "Best Start in Life" strategy. It provided invaluable context and plenty of ideas as we continue to shape each of our schools' provisions

The day together marks the exciting start of our Early Years Trust Improvement Group. By collaborating as a team, we're ensuring that every child in our schools get the best possible start to their learning journey.
